UK Sniffer Dog - Bronze Scent Detection

Please note: For class starting 16th May - There will be no class on 6th June. The final class will be 27th June. For class starting 11th July - There will be no class on 25th July. The final class will be 22nd August. Scent work is a wonderful activity for you and your dog to partake in together. It helps your dog to focus around distractions, build their confidence and helps them to relax. 10 minutes of scent work can be the equivalent of an hours run! So whether your dog is a high energy youngster or a golden oldie who can no longer handle those longer walks scent work is the perfect choice for providing them with an outlet. This 6 week course is designed to teach you and your dog how to find and identify a target odor and to have your dog completing searches. Each week we'll work step by step through the exercises to help your dog understand what they're looking for and how to tell us they've found it. Over the course we'll start by using full sized Kongs and work all the way up to searching for tiny pieces hidden on a vehicle! This course will get you ready for Bronze Scent Work trials where you can complete with your dog to find the scent the fastest and place at either 1st, 2nd or 3rd place. Once you have passed the Bronze trial you can go on to complete our UK Sniffer Dog Silver Scent Detection class.
